Diagnostic Mode

What damage can occur if a vehicle is started with the diagnostic pins shorted in the ALDL connector?

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's

None... Depending on the ecm it usually works out all the components controlled by the ecm and, on mine at least, reports lean/rich through the SES light if the motor is running.
