no data

Okay guys, Im new at this so bear with me. I have a 350 tuned port out of an 85 camaro in my jeep. Bought an aftermarket harness, ecm (1227730), and prom from Howell Engine Developments. Been running this setup for a little over a year now with no major problems, until now. I recently got a code 43 even though I am running a resistor (3.9k) instead of a knock sensor (block hugger headers are too tight). Now for the problem, I hooked up a Tech One at my local Chevy dealership and keep getting "No Data." This actually happened last year when I scanned it just to do it, but since it was running okay, I didn't do anything about it. Today I put in a new computer, same thing. Should I try a new chip? I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hopefully you will be able to connect to this setup. By running the '730 ECM I'd bet that the code is a '90-'92 SD setup.

Try setting the scanner to that vehicle. This would be '90-'92 TBI 5.7l VIN 8 vehicle.

If that doesn't work contact Howell Engine Developments and ask them which vehicle VIN or maskID is required to connect to the ECM/chip they provided.

I've been trying to connect to both a 90 and 91 camaro. It always starts off okay, Is SES light on.....yes, Is SES code 12 flashing ..... yes, Then I get no data.

Sounds like the Tech1 is putting the ECM into a diagnostic mode. See if there is an option to connect in an 'open' mode.
