is it possible to buy a DFI kit w/o the engine harness

I am looking around for a DFI setup to install this spring and was wondering if I really need to get a new engine harness. I have heard of people re pinning there stock harness to work with a DFI box but is it possible to buy a "kit" that will have the ECM, calmap, software cables etc. but not come with the engine harness. Would I be saving myself a LOT of money if I chose to repin my harness or would I be creating headaches in the process? And if I chose to get the proper DFI harness, what happens to all of the extra wires that are bundled in the stock harness under the hood and behind the dash. Am I gonna have to start cutting up my cars harness and adapt it to the DFI harness. Basically I am just looking for advice on both options here. What is easier and what is the "correct" way. I have a SD car now and as for the DF I I want, well, I guess the bank to bank should be ok for what I have in mods. I don't need all the bells and whistles that can be ordered with a new DFI setup. Just the basic stuff to run my engine and run it in real time on my laptop. Sorry for the long post.

Yes it is possible, I can't remember right off hand what dealer I called to ask the same question, but they said yes. I look around for who it was, they sell accell DFI: which the would not recomend, and FAST: which is the one they couldn't say enough about. I think the price was about $2000 w/ the wide-band O2 sensor.

Like I said, I will look around for the dealer I called that gave me that information, also I am not sure if that was a good price or not. I am sure other DFI guys on this board will be able to tell you if that is a good price or not.
