Ready to remove ECM any suggestions?

I have heard you need to be very careful with the ECM or you can wreck the ECM. I am gonna take the ECM out and check the wires for a bad connection. Do i need to unplug the battery before pulling the ECM out?

Its always a good idea to remove the postive battery connection on the battery when working on the electrical stuff. Especially if you think thereis a bad connection. The ECM box just slides down out of its holder.
