Which diagnostic cable?

I am going to order a ALDL diagnostic cable for my 89 Firebird with a 12 pin ALDL connection. My engine is a 5.7 350 TPI with mass air flow. Which cable should I get. Will both types I have heard of work? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

One of the most low cost, simplest, and sturdiest cables is at:
http://www.aldlcable.com

If you read the home page it gives detailed info and screen shots of the software packages, and you can see the circuit details on the left hand menu. $40 and it shows up in your mailbox a few days later
