ecm programming

i read somewhere the ecm computer they used on 89 or 90 to 93 camaro's is more tempermental to adding things such as headers or cams in terms of being efficient/general settings. on the diy prom section they talked about running multiple proms for different applications. i was wondering if thats possible with the ecm on a 91 350 camaro being able to switch between settings. this whole prom and ecm computer thing is new to me but i want to learn more so i can modify my camaro. any information is helpful.

True
90-92 7730 ecms/proms are more sensitive to parts changing.
Go to www.moates.net and look at switchers to run multiple bins.
Read all the stickies on DIY Prom mulitple times and lurk a lot to learn more.
