i have a comp. out of a 89 z28 but cant remember if its a 305 or a 350 the serv. no. is 1228079

Something isn't entirely correct. The 1228079 ECM is from a CCC setup of years earlier. An '89 is going to be either TPI, MPFI, or TBI. None of which use that ECM.
