Check out this weird Memcal!

As you can see in the pic there's an "extra" resistor soldered onto the pins of the memcal on my car. I was told by the previous owner (who was not the first) that when it was brought to Finland -where I live by the way- it already had some so called chiptuning done to it.
Now does anyone know what the heck has been done here???

maybe someone here would know but I would imagine that a good tech at a performance shop who programs these all day should know what thats about.

I'm sure we don't have any performance shops like that here in Finland. So that's why I'm asking here. What's really odd is that the resistor is where the limp mode chips are...
