27SF512 / 28 pin socket intall pics please?

Anyone install this chip/assembly in there Tbi Ecm's? If so can you send, post or let me know where to go look at a write up/pics on this. I already unsoldered a stock 24 pin gm socket but want to take a look at the install of the 28 socket and if , how they basically shorted the 1,2,3,27,28 pins to make it work. Thanks in advance for any info.

Get a 24 pin socket and press the 28 pin socket into it. Wire pins 1, 2, 26, 27, & 28 together (I'm fairly sure all of those need to be tied together). Then solder the 24 pin socket into the PCB.

Can also solder the corner pins of the 24 pin socket to the 28 pin socket. That will prevent them from pulling apart.

RBob.
