using some lt1 pcm controls

ok, just a question, done some searching and cant seem to find what i am looking for.

would it be at all possible to use the lt1 pcm to control just certian fuctions.. using it as a second ecm... what im looking for is if it could be used to conrol functions such as the t56 electronics, cags, reverse lockout, etc... also could it also take the vss signal from the tranny and convert it to the proper signal needed for a 730 ecm... if so wouldnt this solve alot of the little things associated with the t56 swap?
if this is even possible there could be other outputs that could be used for various fuctions if you did other things like a 4th gen dash swap and all...
just curious to the idea, might be way off even thinking that it would work...

any ideas?

The T56 doesn't use a lot of electronics. There is no need to run an additional PCM just for it. The swap is much simpler than that. You should do some research on the subject.

i have done plenty of research.. im looking to see if it would be able to control the reverse lockout CORECTLY.. as well as cags if you would want it.. then also, for anyone running a 4th gen dash, you could use it to run the speedo possibly.. and possibly some other small items.. just a thought or idea of doing this.. i do know i can run without it.. but would like fuctions to be running correctly if possible. thats all that was asked.. no reason to assume research wasnt done.... thanks anyways

Really sorry, I didn't mean it like that. It's just that thousands of people have done the swap, nobody tends to care about reverse lockout. The money and time outweighs the function's usefulness, for most people. I have not heard of one person going into reverse by accident, after a t56 swap. You are the first F/Y-body owner I have ever heard of that wants CAGS to actually work.

Good luck on getting the features to work, sorry for the misunderstanding.

WHy use a 4th gen dash when a dakota digital box works fine?

its not why use 4th gen dash with swap.... its that i have done the 4th gen dash swap.... everything works perfect ,.... now i have the t56 in... and of course the vss signal is completely different as we all know. if you could use a pcm from a t56 car, couldnt that convert the signal from the vss to a correct signal that can feed the 730 ecm, cruise, and dash??? not saying it is the most cost effective way...but the alternitives for correcting the speedo issue with the t56 are either the dakota box... or modifying the tail housing to use a different vss sensor. either way is 80+ bucks... why not use the lt1 pcm to get that part correct.. then you would have the availablilty to use other aspects of the pcm as well.. reverse lockout, cags (if you want it)... not saying i 100% do or dont.. possibly could even use the controls for other things.. but i have listed the main things i see it could be useful to.. again i may be way off base on it.. maybe not... just an idea right now
