Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that any car with feedback controlled motor (one that will set check engine lights) is technically OBD I. So I suppose it would be whenever they put TPIs in, or TBIs whichever came first.

how about computer controled carbs? are they obd1? i think 1982 was an ECU for fuel and spark. the 1981 i think was ccc.
