bad computer?

bad computer?

Does anyone know if you can test a ecm?I think mine went bad when I was trying to restart my car,also is there a certain serial #ecm that is better .

You have to run the 165 ECM . Unless you do some repinning for the 730 SD ECM . Only thing I know that indicates a bad ECM is not getting a code 12 when you pull the codes. But I am sure there is more to that . I am a newb at all this.

I don't even have a ses light on ,the service manual say's to check for power on pin #c 16 and b1 and switched on a5 and I have power at those pins but no ses light and before I buy a new computer I want to make sure.I don't have any spark at the plugs or power to the injectors,so I was wondering if that would be my computer the est sensor in the dist.
