Right or wrong??????????
Ok I NEED!!!! to start burning eproms for my car. 350tpi 165 ecm i bought a hypertech chip just for the zif feature it is a 27c256 chip. If i buy the burn1 and hdr1 adaptor can i read the stock memcal and just modify that bin and burn a new eprom and insert it into the hyper chip. Will it still have the correct stuff??? like limphome mode on it? Would that work? I am planning to start slow like egr delete and injector constant because i put 24#s ones in. Later I plan on getting better and with a wideband further tune air/fuel curves. I am in the middle of a HSR install and know I need a new eprom to work properly with computer ( no check engine light)
Am I on the right course or what?
Thanks for any help

Yes, reading the stock chip is a good starting point. Not sure what type of hypertech adaptor has a ZIF on it. So not sure if it will work properly or not. If you can post a pic of it, and/or head over to moates and look at the G1 adaptor.
Compare the G1 with what you have. The G1 plugs into the ECM, the stock MEMCAL plugs into the side of the G1. This provides the limp mode calibration. Then the PROM plugs into the socket on the G1.
