how do you know if your ecm has decided to go bad on you?
car is still drivable but i want to rule it out as a possibility for my lean code 44. theres soooo many thing i can replace or test for this problem. i would hate to do allll of that if all i had to do was replace my computer.
any suggestions?

Some shops can test your ecm for free examples include autozone, or advance auto.

I would start by checking your 02 voltage... May have gone bad and is sending a false lean to the ECM... Does the engine seem to be running rich and you are getting a lean code? What do your spark plugs look like?
