85 maf compatibility w/ 86' 1227165 ecm
finnaly got my chip from tpiparts.com so i can finish my 85 ecm to 86 ecm swap.. but talking to the tech guy at tpiparts, he told me i may run into issues keeping the 85 maf and running it w/ the 86 computer, said the output on them is different and the ecm's read that signal differently? any body run into this or is he trying to give my waaaaay to much tech insite. sorry if this is is the wrong section

I swapped my ecm from 870 to 165, and I kept my stock 85 maf. So far so good, but I only have 25 miles on the 165.
