2 MAFs... is it possible?

Is it possible to wire up 2 MAFs to a 16197427 PCM or wire them together somehow?

I'd like to retain my stock airbox look, but slightly modified. The modification looks stock but flows more air, requires two air inlets to the air box. If someone is running a MAF two air inlets can be a problem.

It could be done, but it would require that both MAFs be read at the same time as well as an additional output would be taken up. Not real easy.

Easier to just go with a single inlet and an airbox from another car. With MAF, all the air entering the engine must pass through the MAF, so a dual inlet system wont work unfortunately

If you want a dual intake and have a MAF you have to set it up like this..

I had thought about this before, couldn't you just rescale the tables?
The MAF would see 1/2 flow so scale accordingly, the second maf need not
be hooked up, but used only as a restrictor so they both flow the same?

Re: 2 MAFs... is it possible?

Running one as a simple restrictor sounds good, but it'll introduce inaccuracies into the fueling which could cause major drivability issues.

I can see how it would be possible with some work on the programming, but without changing the operational code in the ECM I don't think it would work well at all.
