what type of serial data

Is the 95 chevy truck 7427 PCM the UART or Class 2 communication serial data? I'm pretty sure its UART but I'm not completely sure because 95 was the transition year. Anyway what I'm wanting to do is install an S10 Blazer DIC in my console or overhead console and I know it operates off Class 2 Serial data. I know that Class to runs at around 5-7 volts IIRC and at rest is at 0 volts, and UART on the other hand rests at 5 volts and operates at 0-1 volt. If it is indeed UART is there any way in the world convert a serial data signal? I know the EBL is capable of showing live data like a DIC but I don't have the EBL nor do I want to drive around with the laptop on all the time.

Re: what type of serial data

Not quite sure what standard the blazer DIC uses, but the PCM uses the older OBD-1 standard along with serial data transmission tables unique to that series of PCMs. Technically, it would be possible to drive a datacenter, but in the PCMs current form, it cannot interface with the DIC. The DIC would be somewhat helpful, but ultimatly a laptop is needed so you can capture data for tuning and analysis.
