REALLY DUMB question
Does the megasquirt require me to have my laptop on it at all times? I dont think so but i just was thinkin about it.

Megasquirt only requires a laptop (computer) when you intend to tune. once you have the car working like you want it, you do not need a laptop/computer. For the first bit you will want the computer just in case. But after you become confident in your tune, you can leave it home.
