i have my commander 950 hooked to my nitrous solenoid's and was wondering the value i enter in the input/output menu does it need to have - in front of it?

I can't answer your question directly. However, what I would do is to disconnect the power from the solenoids and try it. Then look at the data log and see what the SA did. This is just to see if it works the way it is supposed to. Before you hit the real stuff.
