Engine: 350 lt-1 crate motor
Transmission: borg warner t-5
Axle/Gears: stock 3.27 posi rear disk
computer question

I'm changing an 89' formula from auto to 5-speed do I need to change the computer or can I use the stock one thats in the car

You don't have to change it (unlike a 5-spd to auto swap for the TCC). Try it out & see how it is. There are differences in the startup and idle calibration between the two.

If it runs Ok then you are good to go. Otherwise a different calibration may help. This would be the PROM or MEMCAL, not the whole ECM.
