I have done a search and could not find any info... Could this work?
Well I have an '87 GTA. My car is a factory LB9 with a T5. The original owner blew up the motor shortly after installing a paxton sn-60 supercharger. The car sat for while and a 350 was installed. The guy I bought it from was not able to get the car to run for anything............ and now I have it. I have been able to get things figured out. Replaced the MAF and cleared all the vaccum leaks. I have 350 injectors...... My issue is the computer (I think) I have a hypertech prom(streetrunner) from an '89 iroc-z, but that is going to be for an automatic. Am I going to have any issues running this chip in my 5speed car? or should I just run it as it is and wait to have a custom one made? The supercharger is going to go back on the car. But not until I have the car running well enough to take it.
What I have come up with in searches has been that I am going to need to have a chip burned. Also that the tolerances between the two chips are very close and might work ok as a temporary thing. There seems to be 2 schools of thought on this subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Running an auto chip in a stick car isn't fatal. There can be issues with startup and cold idle. The torque convertor typically weighs more then a flywheel/clutch.

Ok I am a little lost now....... What does the weight of the torque converter in comparison with the clutch assembly have to do with the tea in china..........
Then again, maybe I asked a stupid question and was given a stupid answer......... I dunno

When the engine transitions from cranking to running the weight of the tea on the back of the crank affects the rate of acceleration. With the smaller chinese bags of tea the engine will rev quicker and can flair higher.
The IAC calibration can be changed to help prevent this. Say that the tea bags are indonesian which we know are larger and weigh more, during the transistion from crank to running the engine will not be increasing in RPM as quickly as having the lighter chinese tea on the end of the crankshaft.
This can cause the engine to stumble and perhaps stall with the heavier tea bags. So the IAC may need to be opened a little further for cranking, and a longer delay required before closing it down to idle.

That was FRICKEN hillarious
I was rolling on the floor after I read that!!!!! Thank you for helping me start my morning.
OK, so if I understood Confuscious RBob. Since I have a Clutch assembly and the hyperteck chip that I am wanting to install is for an automatic, a IAC adjustment may be in order. Is computer tuning software/hardware required for this or no?

Some IAC tuning may be required. If you can try the calibration out see how it is first. Then go from there.
