I previously had a 1984 monte carlo ss with the computer controlled carb/ignition.. it was a big POS and I am in the process of a motor swap on my new 84 trans am... i noticed it has the same carb and hei as my monte..

This car will be an antique next year and as such will not have to pass emissions. I am trying to remove all of the old crap to put in a basic carb'd 327 setup and need to know if this car has an actual computer brain or if it was all a closed loop between the carb and hei.
