I think I blew up my computer???

I have a 1992 T/A and it's being a beeyoch! I can get it to start by feeding it fuel from a spray bottle and locking the TPS to full throttle. After I get it running and warmed up I can relese the TPS and it will idle on it's own. When I go to give it full throttle it dies. I can rev it up slowly to redline but not wide open throttle. I checked the MAP and TPS sensors and both are good. IAC starts out at 128 steps and drops to about 20 steps when it's warmed. I read the BLMs at 160 no matter what I do. This is what puzzles me. What would cause the BLMs to be that high?? I think that might be the root of my problems. This all happened after I got the engine a little wet one day.

Re: I think I blew up my computer???

Hey,

I did check the fuel pressure and there is NONE. It won't even register on the gauge. The fuel pump is coming on and pumping, but only enough to barely trickle out of the schrader valve. I am going to try to check the pressure out of the feed line alone. The laptop scanner is saying the fuel pump voltage is good. I am wondering what would cause the fuel pump to work one day then I pressure wash the engine and the next day it won't even get the car started. Is there something else besides the regulator that can cause the pump pressure to be so low?

For me, there was a leak in the hose that couples the fuel pump to the hardline leading out of the gas tank. One way to see if it is the regulator is to pinch off the return line and see if you hold pressure at the rail.

Either that, or it could be something else, like a clogged filter, line, pump going out, massively leaky injectors... Stuff like that. But, like you said, it would seem strange that it would happen all of a sudden like that...
