Prominator/Others vs. Flash-EBL

So i'm trying to decide what to do once again with the stock '85 ECM. Ronny already recommended the Flash-EBL, which i'm totally interested in and it sounds great. But the downside is I'd have to repin for the MAP and also wire a MAP sensor, which I've heard can be a PITA in the end. Obviously it makes tuning easy for a newb like me.

Now on the flip side I can buy the prominator and still tune on the fly, but without getting a MAP or re-pining. I've heard mixed things about MAP vs MAF, and to be honest I don't see any issues with the stock MAF.

So my questions are, is it really worth it to go through all that trouble for MAP, or can i still stick to prominator and get about the same results with my stock '85 ECM w/o map? Also my ECM is number: 1226870. My last question is, should i first start with upgrading the harness and ECM to the newer versions like a 1989 ECM because its faster and still MAF?

Thanks Ronny and to anyone else for input!
