code 34 new maf installed
code 34 new maf installed
Bear with me on this. This is all new to me so I'll try and explain as best I can. I hope I've posted this in the right place.
My issue is this -
1988 IROC 350
Check engine light comes on, set trouble code 34, went through the factory manual and followed the diagnosis it describes and it all pointed to a bad MAF. I installed a new MAF last night and the problem still exists. Code 34. The battery was diconnected for 3-4 days so I assume that the ECM would have cleared the codes in its memory. Can anyone give me a little direction. Any would be appreciated.
thanks

Re: code 34 new maf installed
check the wires going to the maf. could be broken/loose/ bare wire grounding.
some thing to think about

Re: code 34 new maf installed
Thanks - I think I figured it out last night. Went ahead and replaced maf relay, maf burn off relay and fuel pump relay since they were fairly inexpensive and checked all connectors. Seems to be working now. No rough idle, no code setting. We'll see!!!
