Are all 1227727 ECMs created equal?
Is their any difference between the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder 1227727 ECMs other than the prom and memcals. How about number of injector drivers?

As far as I know they are all the same. Note that they only have a single injector driver. It is as you mentioned that the only difference is in the MEMCAL/PROM package.
