The Oh So Great Commander 950
So, after four years of talk, i decided it was finally time to stop relying on the 120 shot of nitrous on my old TBI 305 in my 92 Camaro and build a TPI 355. That's where my question comes in. Does the 950 replace the old ECM all together, running the gauges and everything? Or do I have to retain the stock computer for gauges, fan, etc?
I would call holley and ask, but it took all of $3200, 2 months, a million phone calls and an act of god to get it, so i would rather ask people with experiance anyway.

The stock TBI ECM ran the fuel pump via the relay. The speedo, cruise, and VSS signal to the ECM comes from a 4-out buffer box. So leave that in place. The fan was/is controlled by a switch in the cylinder head. Between cyl's 6 & 8.
That's about it for external controls via the ECM.

Your gauges don't run through thr ECM. U can throw away the old ECM when you go to the 950. The 950 can control the fan if you want. You can also wire in the knock sensor and esc if you want to. The 950 does not use the vss signal at all.

Thanks, I was a little worried about spending another grand on gauges in one drop. I'll go to new gauges eventually, just not right now.
