quick question for a tbi ecu

I have done the 305 to 350 swap years ago but never finished the esc, knock sensor or ecm part until now. I already have the 350 injectors in, just put the esc and knock sensor in, now for the computer, I know I can use one from a 350 caprice, but will a say 89 silverado 350 tbi computer work?

Why not use the ECU you have in car now? Al you need is a "corrected" chip aka .bin.

Re: quick question for a tbi ecu

sorry I mean the prom chip, I ordered an ALDL cable and it came with some software, I haven't got a chance to use it yet. I was wondering if I just swapped the prom over would it have the correct values or still be off in the bin files?

Re: quick question for a tbi ecu

Having the 350 injectors will help out. Adding a auto trans cop car chip is your first choice. I assume you have auto trans. Other option is to have one custom made. tbichips.com comes to mind. Another option is to get into prom burning and use your stock 305 chip as basis. Just modify that stock .bin as needed. Stock 305.bin should allow car to run with the larger injectors.
