Car: 77 and 79 Vette 85 Jag 93 Chevy p/u
Engine: 350 all tpi in vettes and jag tbi i
Transmission: 700r4 all but pu is 4l60e
93 lt1 troubles

might it be possible to run a 93 lt1 engine with a 7730 or 7727 ecm has anyone tried this any input helpful

If you lose the EGR the intake can be bored for a standard computer controlled small cap distributor. You can then run the engine from a '7727/'7730 ECM. That is as long as no E auto trans is involved.

no e trans thats about what i was thinking no way to run with opti spark dizzy on 7730 correct

Yes, as far as I know the opti can not be run from an other then LT1 ECM.

I have know the opposite to be done. Where an opt disk has been mounted into a regular distributor. This allows an LT1 ECM to be used.

really appreciate your input I've been playing with the tpi and my nephew is wanting me to fix his 93 but i cant fix the box after he let the smoke out of it and he,s having a hard time finding an ecm for the 93, from what i understand they were somewhat uncommon and not very dependable

93......gotta love those one of a kind year cars!! I have been through one ECM i mine and it has less that 100,000 miles. around 85,000 I think. ECM went out around 70,000

i know this is a month old thread, but if you still need a ecm. me and a buddy just got done converting his 93lt1 z28 to a northstar caddy DIS and switched to a 727 ecm. so he has his stock ecm laying around. great upgrade i might add lol

if you need one, i can foward this to him.
