Re: 93 lt1 troubles
Yes, as far as I know the opti can not be run from an other then LT1 ECM.
I have know the opposite to be done. Where an opt disk has been mounted into a regular distributor. This allows an LT1 ECM to be used.

Re: 93 lt1 troubles
really appreciate your input I've been playing with the tpi and my nephew is wanting me to fix his 93 but i cant fix the box after he let the smoke out of it and he,s having a hard time finding an ecm for the 93, from what i understand they were somewhat uncommon and not very dependable

93......gotta love those one of a kind year cars!! I have been through one ECM i mine and it has less that 100,000 miles. around 85,000 I think. ECM went out around 70,000

i know this is a month old thread, but if you still need a ecm. me and a buddy just got done converting his 93lt1 z28 to a northstar caddy DIS and switched to a 727 ecm. so he has his stock ecm laying around. great upgrade i might add lol
if you need one, i can foward this to him.
