ECM Help.

I need some help for a new project im working on.I have been getting conflicting info on several ecm diagrams from various GM makes on the computer.

The 2 im looking into are the 727 and the 730 ecm. What i want to know is:

1: Are the ECMs the same on the circuit board in the computer, and the various pinouts are tied to the eproms installed in them?

2:Or are the ecms different on the circuit board internally for what they are installed into.As far as the pinouts go?

Any clue would be welcomed.

AFAIK the boards are the same, the pinouts to the Memcal are the same, The pinouts to the connectors are different.
