Going to try EBL on my L05
I can't take it any more, I have to try EBL for myself. But I have a couple questions.
I think my Caprice was specified with an AC Delco AFS21. I do have LT1 manifolds and cats on my L05 but the single wire O2 has done fine despite being a few inches further away. Knowing that I have an L05, LT1 manifolds and will be going with EBL, is there a particular O2 sensor that would provide ME with noticeably improved O2 performance? I'd rather not upgrade if the unheated sensor is getting hot enough now, unless there was some other reason to upgrade (like location in the exhaust stream, or the way the PID loop in EBL is implemented).
Also, while I haven't used my EGR in a few years, will I have to rewire my '6965 harness plugs at all in order to keep all of my emissions stuff active? Or is it plug and play?
Less important: Is EBL capable of controlling my dash instead of my DRAC (assuming my 93 Caprice has that)?
I've never had the valve covers off my L05 and aside from air intake and exhaust improvements, the only "internal" improvement is I match ported the intake manifold to the intake gasket last time I had it apart (long story). I also have an injector pod spacer. These don't even count but I want to be thorough. Is there a good calibration starting point for my setup?
Are there any other gotchas to swapping my '6965 for EBL that I am not considering? Also let me know if this isn't the best place for this post.

With the O2 sensor only moved back a few inches, and working correctly now, it is OK with the EBL. The AFS21 NB sensor is a decent unit.
For emissions the EBL supports closed loop for the cat-con, CCP for evap, and EGR for NOX. They will work as the factory intended.
I believe the B body's use a 4-out buffer. As far as I know only the trucks got DRACs. So if you want to correct for different tire size or rear ratios then a VSS drive/driven gear change is required in the tranny.
One change in pin-out is for the A/C. The pin is changed from C2 to location A2. And the A/CHi bit in Option Word 3 needs to be set.
For a start up calibration, there are several for the b-body wagon's and Caprice's included with the EBL.

Does the EBL support the direct wiring of any WB O2s or is it required to use a controller that will send a 0-5V signal to EBL at whatever designated pin(s) the aux ADC is?

Which WB O2 does the TT-1 kit come with? Or does it vary?

Also I see it is not recommended to place the WB in a bung where a NB was previously used. That will be a problem for me. I have 1996 B-body LT1 exhaust manifolds on my Caprice and I put the stock NB in the driver's side bung. I was planning to put the WB in the unused passenger side bung. These bungs ARE a little farther from the exhaust ports than the stock bung was, but nowhere near 3 feet. The only other bungs to choose from are post-cat which I obviously don't want to use. How critical is this 3 foot specification?

The TT-1 is supplied with the Bosch 17014 WB sensor. And yes, the sensor needs to be down stream of the engine exhaust ports. The TT-1 is supplied with a stainless steel sensor mounting bung.
Best location on a cat-con equip'd vehicle is right before the cat.
