OK, I'm getting my car ready for summer driving. 1991 z28 5.7 tpi 700r4. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator (adjustable now), EGR valve, and coolant hoses this winter. Today I took her out for a cruise after a 20 minute warm-up. And at about 3 miles of highway driving (65 mph) the SES light came on. The car seemed to be running great at the time. I took it home and read the codes and came up with code 12,speed reference pulse, and code 32 EGR failure. What did I do wrong, and how do I fix it? You people have helped me more than you could know in the past and I would really appreciate it now. Thank's Randy Almost forgot, fuel pressure at the regulator drops to 0 in lrss than a minute, no leaks or fuel smells that I can sense.

Re: Have searched,Don't understand?
is it possible that either your EGR stovepipe(s) or the passage into the intake is plugged with carbon? if so, that could do it.

Re: Have searched,Don't understand?
I was hoping that wasn't the answer but it probably is. Thanks for the help! I still don't understand the code 12 though.

Re: Have searched,Don't understand?
code 12 is what flashes to let you know the ECM is working and sending out a flash pattern for the trouble codes.
