ECM B Fuse Does it Protect Fuel Pump?
ECM B Fuse Does it Protect Fuel Pump?
89 TBI engine. My wiring diagram shows that the ECM B fuse protects the oil pressure sendor (which is also a fuel pump switch) and the fuel pump relay. My questions is does this also protect the fuel pump itself?
My wiring diagram seems to show the fuel pump is on a different circuit (same circuit as the "hot fuel module") with its own 20 amp fuse.
My ECM B fuse continues to blow over and over. I get anywhere between 0 and 5 minutes of driving before it blows. I'm trying to track down where to focus my search for a short, but maybe it just needs a new fuel pump? (220k miles on existing pump).
