MAF TO MAP (PLease Help!)
Hey all! I finally was able to save up for a FAST XFI ECM only to find out that i need to convert my MAF system to a MAP. I own a 1987 IROC Z with the l98 350 (TPI). Fortunately the new ECM is ready to plug in and they included the MAP sensor with the kit. I just simply need to know where and how to mount it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: MAF TO MAP (PLease Help!)
TPI MAP setups mount the sensor next to the plenum. Not sure how easy it would be to find the brackets for one.
OTOH, the TBI and '90-'92 MPFI systems mount the sensor to the firewall on the passenger side. Easy to find these in the yards. Grab the bracket, screws, and tube. Mount on your car. Then drill and tap plenum for line port.

Re: MAF TO MAP (PLease Help!)
On my HSR intake, I just used a piece of hose about 1.5" long and put one end on the intake barb and the other on the MAP sensor (sensor mounted directly to the intake). No issues with this method so far.

Re: MAF TO MAP (PLease Help!)
Alright, thanx for the advice guys. My issue was that i couldnt find a barb to put it because my plenum is not a speed density plenum which is already setup for the MAP sensor install. Tapping the intake and mounting it will be simple enough though. thanx again..
