how to change igntion module

how to change igntion module

simple question where is the igntion module and how do i change it,, its not a coil in cap rotor.. please tell me i dont have to pull the distributor

You dont have to pull the distributor. If you take the cap off, then the rotor, look below where the rotor was and see that black thing with the wires comin from it. Thats the module. It has 2 screws that hold it down. Remove those and lift it up.

also, make sure when you replace it to put some dielectric grease between the module and the distributor housing. it will help transfer heat and keep it alive longer
