i found this kit for sale locally. does anyone know anything about it. whaat are some advantages of using this system on my 87 350tpi maf car. what will need to be done to properly install it? also how hard is it to learn how to tune with it?

 

Not sure what kit as they have quite a few of them, and many of them can be "car" specific if they include an manifold. I have the system installed on a .... dare I say .... 351c Ford (600 hp @ crank) and I have used it, FAST, and many of the "factory tuners" and I find that the Accel way out-does all of them, especially if you enjoy the tuning aspect of it, which I do. The Accel has at least 10 potential screens that you can adjust everything on to the competitors 1 screen. While that is said, that doesn't mean it's more complex, just that you have more options as you learn the system and want to really start narrowing things down. But when I start, I stick with the basics - AFR target, Base Fuel Map, Timing.
