4-wire flat connector on Ignition for timing

Hey guys,

Th is may be the wrong place to post this, but I was wondering if any of you knew where to pick up a "new" (new being a relative term) 4-wire flat connector, the one that you disconnect (from the distributor/ecm) to set base timing. I can't find this thing anywhere.

The reason I ask is that the end where it goes into the distributor is getting pretty hacked up (the connector more than the wires) and I would like to get a new one before trying to "fix" it myself. I've looked at "new" and refurbished distributors both from Autozone and Classic Industries, but they all have a 3-wire connector that's not flat. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

With the re-furb distributors odds are that is a standard picture. As they wouldn't be a drop in or work with only a 3-wire connector.

For the connector, check NAPA. They carry some pigtails. Other places on the 'net is eficonnection and RosesAndWrenches. Ballenger Motor Sports also carries some connectors.

Thanks RBob, I'll check into it. The side that's coming apart is not the flat connector but the part on the other end that plugs into the distributor. The 4-wire flat connector and the ECM wires are all fine....it's up on the distributor itself that I'm seeing the problem.
