Need a part identified from injection system

I am at my wits end with this car.... dont know if this belongs under the DFI section so I appologize if it doesnt.

1989 Camaro RS 5.0L V8

First, the problem..... Car starts fine and idles fine. Revs fine when out of gear.... when under partial load though car wants to die unless you go WOT and even then its bogging down. This gets worse if you turn the AC on.

What we have replaced in hopes of fixing the issue....

Fuel Pump
Distributor
Fuel filter
Spark Plugs
ECM
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Throttle-Body control sensor (I think thats what its called)

So, we took apart the Throttle Body and we got to a certain part that doesnt look in the best condition.... the problem is we have no idea what its called and neither did anyone at Autozone/Oriellieys.

Here are some pics, the first 2 are steps shown to get to the part in question so it will be easier for someone to identify... I would post the images directly but they are not re-sized and are quite large, so here are some direct links.

And this next picture is the part in question.... There is some type of spring loaded bearing inside that looks to be damaged and is not centered. Does anyone know what this thing is called?? For that matter, could this even possibly be causing the issues we are having given everything else we have replaced?

Thanks for the help.

That's the fuel pressure regulator. The bottom is supposed to be crimped like that. It's how it was factory set. If you want to make an AFPR you drill that out then weld a stud on the end of the piece that is left over. Or you buy one. Besides that have you had an FP gauge on it? Any codes at all? Were the plugs light or dark colored when pulled?

Any codes? Take back to parts store and have them pull codes from ALDL link if car will run. Or jump the ALDL with an adapter or paper clip and watch the blinking CE light show codes.

When it drops in gear the engine is loaded. IAC should move open to maintain RPM and you can witness with AC off looking down into TBI unit. also key on engine off the IAC will cycle open and again you can see that event.
