Fuel Pump Wiring?

Hello, newbie here and I have a few questions. First off, a little background. am installing a 88 TPI system into my 73 Camaro and have a question about the fuel pump relay.

Currently, I am running an electric fuel pump with my carb and am using the Holley Oil Pressure switch as a safety measure to shut off the fuel pump if there is no oil pressure. The switch has two inputs, one that is open with no pressure (N/O) and one that is open with pressure (N/C). I run current through the N/O circuit during cranking and I send key on voltage through the N/C terminal. This works great to give me Fuel when cranking and when the engine is running.

I am looking at the wiring diagrams for the TPI system and it looks like the oil pressure switch is nothing but a backup in case the Fuel Pump relay goes bad. So if the engine loses oil pressure, the engine will continue to run until it locks up. If this is the case, then this switch is useless. I don't need it as a back up. If my Fuel Pump Relay goes bad then my engine won't run.

I would like to keep my Oil Pressure Safety switch, but I don't know how to do it and let the computer fully control the pump including the 3 second initialization. If I wired the Fuel Pump Relay Drive through the N/C terminal of the pressure switch, I would lose the 3 second start up.

I had this thought. I could keep the starter line on the N/C terminal and put the output from the fuel pump out that goes to the Fuel Pump Signal (B2) in the computer.

So the pump would be completely controlled by the computer and relay. The Holley oil pressure switch would be responsible for telling the computer that the pump is running. If I lose oil pressure, then the computer would think the pump was dead and shut off. Is this correct? If not, then how do I wire in the Holley oil pressure switch?

-Thanks
Anthony
