Is this possible???

I'd like to use my Stage II chip from my 305 if I could. So here's the scenario. If I use the 19lbs injectors and use the 305 wiring harness and comp from a stock 1986 tpi305, could I use that setup on a stock 1991 tpi350??? The tpi350 I have has the stock chip? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Is this possible???

Define work? Would the car run? Probably. Would it run well, probably not. When I did my 305 to 350 swap it sort of ran with the 350, but once I got it tuned (injector constant set right and the fuel/spark tables copied over from the 350) it was so much better.

Is it worth the effort to go backwards from the 730 ECM that would be stock with the 1991 350 just to use the Stage II chip, definitely not.

Re: Is this possible???

Ok, another question for you. Is there a difference in the actual computer besides the prom? Like if the computer that came with the engine I bought, (the 350 tpi) is shot, could I use the one that's already in my car?? Meaning I would use the 305 computer but would use the 350 prom. By the way, thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Nope, your's is a '165 ECM and the one with the 92 is a 730.

Are you putting the 350 in your car or what is your plan here?
