Car: 91camaro Rally, work in progress
Engine: 5.7 350. 400hp 400ftlb torq
Transmission: turbo 350
Axle/Gears: stock rs rear, 3.23.
ECM upgrade

Just found out I have to change my engine into A TPI. I know I have to installed a ECM out of a Z28. Is it best to get one from a junkard? Will it be wise to get a ECM and reprogram, Or get a new one. I have a 390 horse eng. high performance stuff in. have a cam which requires me to have 3000 rpm stall converter. Can the aftermarket programers capiable of doing that. thanks

You have a 390 HP TPI engine? If it was carbed and you put a TPI on it, that will change... HP down, torque up (with some nice TPI parts )

Anyway... the ecm's in the junkyard are programmed to specific fuel injectors, gear rations, etc...

I was gonna suggest a single plane(vic jr or pro products) port EFI with EBL....

TPI cant handle that HP IMO.
