Quick ECM question

Does a CCC ECM retard your timing advance if the engine temps are hot...let's say around 200+?

I ask because my engine runs a bit hotter than it should ( am working on correcting that ), and it it noticably down on power when the engine temps are high. Runs much stronger when engine temps are low. I understand this is fairly normal, but seems a bit too extreme in my case.

Most likely yes. Would need to look at the particular calibration to see by how much. But in general GM cals do reduce the spark timing at higher engine temperatures.
