Engine diagnostics

I have a '91 Camaro with a 305 TBI. My check engine light comes on and off intermittently. I went to Auto Zone to get it checked but they said they can only check '96 and newer. Any ideas where I can get this checked out?

Re: Engine diagnostics

Quickest easiest way is a paper clip. Jump pin A and B I think and turn the key to On. The check engine light flashes once and then twice. This is code 12 and is normal. It will flash 12 three times. After code 12 whatever codes are stored will flash after that. Once all codes are flashed it repeats again with code 12. Autozone used to sell a small piece of metal with to pieces sticking out to use to pull codes. A paperclip does the same thing.

Hope that helps.
