1990 IROC OBDI or OBDII?
Hi,
I have a 1990 IROC 305/Manual Trans. Is it a OBDI or OBDII? How can I tell? Also, can you recommend a decent reader. I would like to buy from ebay or harbor freight under $100
Thanks

For a reader, a paper clip is about as good as anything. Nearly free.

OBD I Systems are in vehicles up to 95. 96 and newer vehicles are OBD II. You should be looking at a OBD I system unless the car has had been changed over to OBD II. Diagnostic Ports are also a easy way to identify which one you has as well. OBD I is more rectangled while the OBD II connector is wider at the top vs. the bottom.
As was mentioned before OBD I tester is about the cheapest tool out there (Paper Clip)
