383 Stroker - Computer/Tune Help

1992 RS Convertible, 305 TBI, Heritage Edition.

Ok, so I currently have a 383 Stroker being built by a guy in Arizona. I cant give you all the build specs as I don’t know what they are.

Basically my brother and his good friend (who is building the 383 stroker) are taking care of everything for me in regards to the mechanics of the build.

We are anticipating anything between 450HP-525HP at the crank depending on the fuel management system we go with.

This car is currently and will remain to be my daily driver. I will still have the AC, Sound system, Heater ect.

I am looking to use either a 4brl TBI set up or more than likely a MPFI set up (Holly Stealth Ram or something similar).

Here is my question, and of course this is after I have the fule management system installed.

Am I able to use the factory 305TBI ECM/Computer to have a custom chip/tune/programming to support 500+HP and run correctly?

Or

Will I need to pick up a new ECM with tune that will still support the wanted HP all the other electronics of this car?

Any input is appreciated.

The stock '8746 ECM doesn't have a chance with that engine. Tuned or not.

RBob.

And that is exactly what I thought. So RBob, what options do I have or should I ask what option would you reccomend to me in order to accomplish my goal here.

I um up to doing any instalation in regards the computer/harness ect. However, I am not looking to due the tuning myself.

We all have opinions... I would use RBobs EBL-ECU with port fuel mod. Add his WB with a pillar mount gauge. Victor jr single plane EFI with same on rails or Pro Products(<$$). Add plumbing from Earls-Aero. Edel 90 deg neck to a LS TB. Spend the $$ now rather than mess with TBI.
