Data logging

Hello Everyone,
Hopefully i am in the right message board. I have bought my first toy a 91 Z28 305 TPI. I have had the car for about a yr and am starting to get her back to right but still have some kinks to work out. I would like to try and download some data logging software so I can watch what she is doing but don't have much experience with working with cars with computers. I'm mostly a dirt track guy so i could use some help. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of cable i need and pin out and software to go from my car to my comp? Dont know if it will make a difference but my comp has windows 7 on it hope it will still work.

You need the proper version of TTS Datamaster and a OBD1 cable.

You will also likely need a serial or USB converter. Most newer laptops do not have Serial Ports.

For my LT1 I use TTS Datamaster for logging and Tunercat for programming.

You should read this thread in its entirety and refer back to it for your questions. If something isn't answered there, or you need more clarification a search should yield the results. Not to say that everythings covered, but most of its there.

I'm still slogging through programming my own stuff.
