Engine: 305 to 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt
ecm help i got used ecm to fix code 51
OK I got used ecm I plug it in ses light blinks then stays on with ignition on but doesn't turn on it does turn over I switch to old ecm it turns on but ses light blinks n get code 51 I switch prom from old ecm to new ecm it turns on then cuts off

this morning its running a high idle in 2000 range

with original ecm what would be the service number to my ecm idk if the ecm are right because both are no original i have a 89 rs with 5.0 tbi two barrel

ECM 1228746 various proms based upon trans Federal etc
what to look for key on engine off is a quick blink of Ce then solid on. No blink solid could be ECM. Rapid blink of CE is prom. Is the prom in correctly or possibly 180 deg wrong? Disconnect battery when plugging in ECU.
