cost effective efi
trying to build a 383 for my blazer ( i know i am on a camaro forum, sorry). i am looking into running a tpi setup or maybe an after market efi kit. i have never put fi on an engine before so i figured i would get some expert advise before starting. i cant think of a better place for tpi advice. things to consider are performance, ease of installation, and money. any help would be great. thanx

Re: cost effective efi
got a few questions? my neighbor has a weiand stealth ram sitting in his garage. he told me if i got a mototr to put it on, i can have it. will the mpi retro fit kit work with that? or would it be better to go w the tb kit?
Re: cost effective efi
My choice would be :
pro products single plane with their inj rails least cost
injectors from FIC rebuilt and less cost
A Edel neck to a Ebay LS TB unit less cost
ECU would be EBL dynamicefi.com best for the $$$ and you can sell later as in demand.
Painless perf for the wire harness.
not sure if custom efis still sells complete kits with used GM components? Same for Howell

Tell your neighbor I've got a motor to put it on! I'll even pay the shipping!

i would go with the stealth ram + add TPI retrofit harnes from http://www.fuelinjectionconnection.com/gpage.html (i use one and it is excellent quality, 100% stock colors on wiring etc.), then retune stock ECM or go Megasquirt with adaptor board
best regards
