Distributor & Fuel Pump for HSR?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this...
I'm converting my 1985 Camaro with a 305 TPI setup to a 383 stroker (approximately 400 HP) and Holley Stealth Ram setup. I already purchased the majority of the parts (MAP ECM setup, wiring harness, 30 lb. injectors, etc.) and I have two questions:
1) I assume that the stock fuel pump will not be enough to feed my fuel needs, correct? I know they make a lot of aftermarket pumps, just want to make sure I really need to change before I go to all the trouble of doing so.
2) Is there a preferred distributor (either brand or style) to use with this setup? Can I use the one off my current engine or is it better to upgrade?
Thanks.

As for the fuel pump, lots of miles on it? It would be worth replacing it.
The large cap distributor may not clear the Stealth Ram. Maybe check on the TPI board or alternate port intake board to see what others have done.
I only use GM distributors and parts. Can go with a small cap with the remote coil if the large cap doesn't clear the plenum.

Re: Distributor & Fuel Pump for HSR?
Do I have to find a distributor that specifically calls for the small cap then?
As for the fuel pump, it has been replaced in the last couple of years - when I bought the car in July, it came with a stack of receipts and one of them was for a replacement fuel pump. Is there a minimum pressure that is required to run the setup I'm going to have, and can I just check the pressure to see if I'm meeting that? Again, I don't mind replacing the pump if necessary but it seems like a lot of work to do "in case".
