hi fellow enthusiasts, i was trying to trouble shoot problems on my 91 rs then i came across this forum and decided who would know better than camaro owners.

my 1991 rs v6 will turn over and fire up immediately. but after it warms up if the tachometer hits less than 1000rpms it will die immediately.

but heres the weird thing, if i continue to hold down on the accelerator it will remain running and will run fun until it hits 1k on the tachometer. any ideas what this could be im sure its happend to atleast one or more persons..

please help, this is my first camaro and i could use the help..

As for it dieing, sounds like maybe the EGR is leaking. If you remove it be careful of the screws, they like to break off.

check the IAC for carbon deposits. clean the pintel and the body housing good. sounds like the minimum idle air flow may be your problem. good luck.
